Memory limits for physical and virtual

This would fit better as a discussion but those don't seem to be enabled. Is it possible to set a limit just for physical memory and virtual memory separately? There's not too much point in the memory limit if I require sometimes multiple GB to be given to some languages for them just to load libraries just fine (1GB for node).
