Neovim or Vim doesn't open through App Launchers or File Managers

Step 3. Describe the issue

When I try to open a file through the file manager with Neovim or Vim, it doesn't open. I can open the files with Neovim and Vim through the terminal though. Neovim doesn't open with the App Launcher (Super) as well. I use the kitty terminal by default and have only changed the keybind from opening foot to opening kitty. The issue might be related to Neovim and Vim not finding the terminal to open in?

Maybe try neovide. It's a GUI frontend of neovim.

Thanks for the suggestion @clsty. I am using that for the time being but will let the issue remain open because that doesn't really fix the issue.
