Xbox UWP compatible?

Open Invictaz opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

There is now a way to legally install a UWP build of Kodi 19 from another location than the Microsoft store, through the use of a developer that has a Microsoft Partner account.

His Kodi build does not have script.module.inputstreamhelper preinstalled. It might needs to be installed, but I'm not sure. Can you clarify on how to install it on Xbox and enable support for Widevine CDM?

Widevine CDM is for Windows and Linux only, not for XBOX, Android (buit-in) or IOS

Can it be made compatible? The Xbox runs on a Windows kernel.

The Xbox runs Windows UWP Sandbox, not Desktop WIndows Kernel. Try the ms-store version of Kodi in Windows 10/11. It wil have the same resdtriction as the xbox. Basically UWP only allows MS PlayReady DRM and nothing can be done about it
