Even if this addon is being released with a different name, given that the @ sign is usually mute on plain speak, I feel that names are too similar. Furthermore, the name of the repo is ember-jquery. I still think it would be a good idea to rename @topaxi project to something more specific, like ember-jquery-slim.

Perhaps this very addon could provide an API to import an alternative version of jQuery if someone sees value on it.

Agree on both counts. An API to provide a custom/replacement jQuery would be a nice touch...
