Need clarification on Block Content page

Need additional clarification on this page: https://guides.emberjs.com/release/components/block-content/

When I try to follow the example, I get this error: Unexpected named block <:foo> inside <div> HTML element

It would be helpful if the guides included some information about why you might encounter this error and also what to do instead/differently.
