Cyrillic support
It’s a very nice font! Would be amazing to have cyrillic characters one day
Thank you for bringing it up. Not sure how much it is used.
I guess use cases are the same as for the monospaced fonts which support cyrillic letters. Examples: SF Mono, Menlo, Fira Mono, Atlas Typewriter, GT America Mono, Roboto Mono, Input Mono, JetBrains Mono.
In my case I monospaced font for both programming and personal notes. In the latter case my text is a mix of cyrillic and latin letters.
Commit Mono is great. I would pay for a license to use it.
That makes a lot of sense. Donation from Buy me a coffee goes directly to the design/development of Commit Mono. Thank you!
@eigilnikolajsen Thank you for the link, I did my small part :)
Thank you, I will begin Cyrillic design as soon as I can.
@eigilnikolajsen thanks and you've got another coffee for the font and cyrillic support :)
Thank you!
Hi, is Cyrillic design still in development?
@eigilnikolajsen is this still being worked on?
There are a lot of other use cases for Cyrillic characters. Students who don't know English well comment their code in their language, and some CLI or TUI tools that are run from the terminal also output Cyrillic text.
Seven languages using Cyrillic are commonly used and over thirty regional languages are written in Cyrillic, according to Wikipedia.
