Compare two traces

As a user who wishes to compare:

  • “Before and after” traces
  • Contexts (hardware x vs. hardware y)
  • System/software configurations

I need an easy way to compare two trace visualizations, so I can visually reason over the similarities or differences, and make decisions according to what I see.

Possible solutions:

  • Splitscreen?
  • Transparent overlay?
