Clearing the app settings (including saved timers) has resolved this issue for the user. It's still unclear how the settings (or saved timers) got into a bad state here.

Ah. I see. That should be do-able, though, for now, if you enter "1000 years" and select the option I mentioned, you have basically the same effect.
