Probably better to implement this as block, where functions are the top-level block for C, while classes can be the top-level block for C++ and Java.

Excellent idea! Ideally, Java and C++ metrics should include the [Chidamber and Kemerer suite](http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/32.295895). Also, I guess #1 would also have to be tied to this. Go ahead.
