Variable width, height for columns and rows

Is it possible to define a specific width for a row or column so that we can create grids not bound by the current system of identical heights on rows and widths on columns? I'd like to be able to have rows shorter or taller than others and some columns thinner or wider than others.

Unfortunately the project I was using this library on at work got cancelled so I haven't been in the code for months. I've shared some admin rights to to the project with others but in not actively contributing. Anymore .
