Possibility to have working colors in tmux without overriding TERM variable

Colors schemes don't work inside tmux, unless the user overrides the config for the TERM variable, which by default seems to be screen or screen-256color.

I know it is possible to change the variable to something else in tmux, but it is advised against doing so because it might create problems with tmux.
