Snap based install of .NET can lead to segmentation faults.

Also, according to this comment Snap issues have been closed "to reflect current priorities."
Shouldn't this be reflected in the documentation? Why do the docs provide instructions on installation via snap when it isn't a "current priority" and it doesn't work?

At this point we're still waiting. I'm going to close this for now and when new info about snap becomes available, I'll reopen this.
