I just got this with a smoothie clone.

its a pity you can't have comments in these scripts, yaml support for packer would be realy a good thing to have!

Packer was running on Debian jessie; creating a virtualbox vm. Some of the input masks were changed.

Meanwhile we found out that one needs to use the gevent based http client in order to make this work. Monkey patching the Aikido-session can do the trick.

if you want to create a PR for this, me neither thinks we still need this.

We @arangodb have similar opinions on that. If you propose a patch to replace this by ICU (which is already one of the other arangodb dependencies) we could drop ConvertUTF.{CPP,}....
