Freeze when entering gameworld after menu/loading when using DSR

  • Skyrim SE 1.5.97
  • Reshade installed, effects disabled
  • Win11 in HDR mode
  • Nvidia Dynamic Super Resolution enabled in Nvidia control panel
  • Monitor resolution 2560 x 1440
  • Desktop resolution 3413 x 1920
  • in skyrimprefs, iSize set to any resolution higher than monitor resolution
  • No DLSS/DLAA/FSR selected in CS
  • Start new game or load a game
  • Game will freeze just as OpenAnimationReplacer loading bar completes
  • Sound buffer keep looping but audibly glitched out
  • Alt tab or ctrlaltdel to kill process

First time trying CS and took me 5 or 6 hours to figure out why I couldn't get it to work. The symptoms I have were not listed anywhere else
