VR - Broken UI
After updating from 0.8.0 to 1.1.1 it seems like my UI is broken with CS.
As you can see, ticking the ImageSpace off fixes the issue but it creates some weird missmatched slightly lighter/darker line kinda right between the eyes. it's sometimes visible on monitor mirror too right in the middle but I don't think I caught it this time.
Edit: Now that I look closely at the bottom picture I can see it, in the very middle at the top of the screen, It looks like the sky is just a tad brighter on the left half than on the right side. It's much more visible in headset. Turning ImageSpace back on fixes the line but breaks the ui again.
I'm using Valve Index, I also cleaned shader cache after update.
EDIT:
I noticed while experimenting that those cutouts are for some reason in the shape of my controllers
Same thing is happening on 1.1.3, but I believe on 1.1.1 it affected only left eye, on 1.1.3 I get matching artifacts in both eyes making it surprisingly more bearable
Can confirm the cutouts from 1.0.0 to 1.1.5. Mine are just much bigger. 0.8.7 does not have the issue.
Disabling Imagespace fixes it. See UI Top Right of the Screenshots. Found in 1.0.2
@Mourdraug @sl-einert Are any of you able to test this using pd upscaler? They noted fixing this issue when using PD, if that's the case we can move that fix into CS
Version 1.2.1 of https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/82179?tab=description
Hi, I had this issue previously; I am now using the upscaler linked and re-installed most recent version of community shaders and this issue has resolved.
Are you able to test without upscaler as well? Only works with it installed?
Hi, yes I just tested it with the upscaler disabled and the cutouts returned. Can also confirm that re-enabling upscaler resolves the issue.
You all are amazing with this, such incredible work, thank you.
I installed Community Shaders 1.1.15 and got the same error as described. The Menu UI objects didn't only collide with the controller display object, but also with any NPC, grass, bush, etc. Basically there is collision between the UI object and any other in-game object that occupies the same virtual space once a person installs Community Shaders.
I'm running an RTX5000 series card, and can confirm that Skyrim Upscaler VR - DLSS FSR2 XeSS + Nvidia DLSS *.dll fixes the issue. Thank you to who ever made that connection! Much appreciated!
I am also getting this issue on a 2080ti with a quest2 over airlink. I am getting the same controller issue as seen above and a seam in the middle of my screen with the same properties as the controller. It effects all UI elements including menus and HUD.
same issues had to disable screenspace
Work arounds are:
- Disable volumetric lighting at boot.
- Disable any type of dynamic resolution including from upscaler.
- Use version of upscaler that supposedly fixes it but may not work with latest cs. Upscaler didn't share how they fixed it so we don't have it here.
