VR: Night sky issue

If you have a cloudless night and take a look at the sky and move your head the stars get all swooshy, means they are blurred and shifting. When taking a screenshot everything looks correct, which hints in the direction that this could be a de-sync between both eyes. This does not happen with Nexus version 0.8.7. But is happening with earlier builds as well as latest one released 26. Aug

Additional info: When you move your view say topright, the stars seem to move in the opposite direction lowerleft. This is only while moving the head, if you keep the head 100% still you do not see the issue. The issue can be observed also when closing one eye within the headset (left or right does not matter). So maybe not a desync issue after all. Doodlum tested on Flatrim and could not observe the issue. Also jepster tested deactivating DLAA which resolves the issue.

As mentioned in #476 is seems to be even more extreme with upscaler enabled

Please identify which shader causes it. For example, deselect each of the shaders until it goes away.

Confirmed this happens with all CS shaders disabled but only if CS is installed. If CS uninstalled, there's no issue.

@doodlum any thoughts? What's left if we disable all shaders individually or in bulk?

given that this is a vr specific issue I'm not sure. you would need to graphics debug it to see if it's actually writing out to the texture.

This happens in vanilla vr when CS and TAA in vr are enabled, so its not exactly just upscaler dlss connected just to be clear. It started with the sky tests builds. Its not just in sky, i have seen it on random sky cloud nifs so hard to target to identify in vr. I have seen it happen on dragons and other nifs too not just on the sky. Its some form of TAA artifacts or smearing happening.

here is what might be happening https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vxmh7-XPb_E seems its a flat game thing too. the blur in vr reminds me of what he shows at 3.00 minutes in the video
