I've received similar reports recently.

Unfortunately we're stuck using an ancient, hacked kernel with no way to update it, so I knew that this day would come and it seems like we're at a point now where it is unadvisable to update anymore.

Still, there's no way a software update could have hard-bricked a PSC. You'll have to fastboot and flash the original kernel and then restore to stock following the instructions on the main page.

I'll update the main page information with this new development.

yeah ive tried doing that but nothing shows up do you happen to have the correct drivers for the fastboot if so could you share? but still no led light nothing works but the power goes through so it isnt a cable problem. thanks for the reply

Have you tried using the tools suggested in the main page at https://xdaforums.com/t/official-tool-windows-adb-fastboot-and-drivers-15-seconds-adb-installer-v1-4-3.2588979/ ?

I haven't been doing any development for this for quite a while, so I'm a bit out of the loop.

this happens when the storage is filled up to the max, such as when you perform a sudo apt upgrade. When no memory is left it'll the screen to go blank and the LED will blink green when you try to boot up.

do you happen to have it connected to filezilla? if so you can log into it and start deleting data. once some data is cleared the screen will pop back up.

if u dont have access to filezilla, then the only way i know is to perform a Fastboot where u flash the original kernel back, and then it'll boot back into the PSC UI.

it'll be cool if there's a way to launch a terminal in these situations. maybe have it to where if a user holds down the Eject button while powering on it'll go into some type of emergency mode

these users had a similar problem https://www.reddit.com/r/PlaystationClassic/comments/1ggphw9/ps_classic_blinking_green_light/ https://www.reddit.com/r/PlaystationClassic/comments/zvl1sr/my_playstation_classic_is_dead_help/

regarding Fastboot, its recommended to use Linux as it work out the box. windows is annoying because u need extra drivers and those who got it to work never disclose which drivers they used and we gotta play that stupid guessing game. also when using fastboot u gotta press on that thing hard. the first time is always the most difficult

Best advice I can give you is to join the Project Eris Discord here: https://discordapp.com/invite/Kx8DVpF6

There are people who'll be able to help you restoring your PSC to stock by guiding you step by step on how to properly enter fastboot mode and flash the original kernel.
