need to setup "gain" to mic to work

to have the recording working correctly with my USB mic, I need to increase the "gain"

something like : "rec -r 44100 -c 1 t.mp3 gain 50" is working perfectly for me.

is there a way to have Alexa listening me with "gain 50"?

My problem is Alexa goes to "transiting to state: listening" then it goes on listening and then takes 4-5 min to change the state for responding. Please someone help us out!! Is it the problem of Rpi model or SD card or microphone?
