Provide Debian package repository
Describe the Issue:
I use Pop_OS!, which uses apt as a package manager. I have installed doctl by downloading it once from the GitHub releases page. So far tt works great for me, but I’m not getting any updates.
There are more distros that depend on apt, i.e. Debian. These could also benefit from a PPA.
Could you please provide doctl as a .deb package and through a PPA?
Environment:
- doctl version: 1.33.1-release
- OS: Pop_OS! 19.10
- Installation method: GitHub releases
Hi! Thank you for opening this conversation. Providing a PPA is definitely in our plans, but not in the immediate future. Stay tuned, and let me know if we can help with any workarounds.

Installing from GitHub releases works, it’s just not auto updated.
Same here! A PPA or some way to install with apt would be great!
