FreeMiNT boot fail
I've been unable to get the latest 68000 FreeMiNT snapshot to boot on my STFM with 4 MB RAM using sidecart 0.0.17 and TOS 1.0.2.
First I tried using a 8 GB micro SD that had 1 8 GB exfat partition. Sidecart/FreeMiNT seems to crash as soon as it started to boot so I repartition my SD card to only use a single, 1 GB fat16 partition but I get the same mid-boot error:
I followed this guide to set up FreeMinT on my SD:
https://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=40043
Which basically just involved downloading:
https://tho-otto.de/snapshots/freemint/bootable/freemint-latest-000-st_ste.zip
and extracting its contents into the hd folder of the micro SD card.
I am going to upgrade my TOS ROM to 1.0.4 soon, I wonder if that could help this work?
Have you tried booting any version of FreeMinT on one of your Atari's with at least 4 MB RAM using sidecart's hard disk emulation? This is my first attempt at booting FreeMiNT so this is all new to me.
I'm hoping to build some UNIXy stuff to use it on my ST and I understand FreeMiNT is the best way to do that? I'd like to run gcc on my ST mainly.
