Speech recognition engine error

I tried the sample app on Android API 19 (KitKat) and it works 70% of the time, but the reaction time was very slow so I tried API 26 (Oreo). The problem happens here was after I clicked the Listen button, the error popped up: Speech recognition engine error: Other network related errors. I googled around but got no luck yet.

I don't know if anyone happened to have the same issue and figured that out?
