Consider combining with aleksandar-todorovic/awesome-linux

Hi,

My proposition for you is to allow me to combine your list to mine (link) so we could create a unified awesome-linux list full of awesome-linux resources.

So basically I'm asking you to give me permission to use your content in my list. If you decide to do so, I will upgrade your rank to Collaborator.

Hi @aleksandar-todorovic,

I just had a look at your list and it is very nice. I agree, we should go ahead and unify our lists.

Thanks for agreeing!

I already went ahead and copied your X Windows Managers section and added you as a collaborator. Apart from that, EDE should be added to the Other Desktop Environments subsection and we should consider what is the best way to add applications you've included in this list.

I think we can drop the Partition Editor section, which leaves us with Graphical Package Management Tools. I think that could go under the GUI-based Applications section, or seeing as how all the graphical package management tools listed belong to listed distributions, we could add them to their specific distributions.

OK, I created a bug with the list of specific tasks that should be done in order to make the merging of the lists completed.

Having that said, I think that the best solution would be to create a new subcategory to the GUI-based Applications called something like Distro-based Package Management Tools and adding them there.

Kudos for merging two similar projects and working together. Often it is the opposite direction and projects get forked.

(i think this issue can get closed)
