Can't restart Counter-Strike 1.6 server
The restart button is not working. It shows "Restarting" and after that "Success!" However the server is not restarting. Also the console output shows "ServerOutput: Sorry, server log doesnt exist."
I can see this is known issue for the voice servers, but it also affects game servers.
When did you create a new CS 1.6 template for this server, and was that via steamcmd or hldsupdatetool? Also, if you view the Files tab, does the server appear to have all the necessary cs 1.6 files? Does the logs/servers.log file show anything useful?
Note that steamcmd has bugs (on the steam side, not gpx side) that prevent you from doing a proper 1.6 install unless you re-run the steamcmd update command several times.
I made the template using SteamCMD. The files are all there.
The server.log has this:
Restart: Restarting (Server IP) for user (The User) ... Restart: Screen failed to start, check your server settings. Exiting.
About 2 pages of that.
Screen only fails to start if srcds_run completely bails out.
Can you SSH into your server, cd to that gameserver dir, and manually run exactly what the game panel is trying to run?
CS 1.6 is hlds, not srcds :) The panel is trying to run the default startup parameters, i've tested the server files locally and they are fine. The server is running though, but i can't restart it. And i also get "Unable to get system info: [object Object], b: parsererror, c: SyntaxError: JSON.parse: bad control character in string literal" on the system info line.

With debugging on, can you paste here what it's trying to run for the restart? And confirm the cmd is the exact command you ran when you manually tested it?

No, it's nothing wrong with the startup parameters. It does save the settings and the parameters are fine.
Difficult to say without logging in. This really wouldn't make sense if what you see in the Info tab, the startup CMD, is the exact command you are able to run manually on your own in the same CS 1.6 directory. Obviously if there is a currently running server on 27015 and the same IP this issue would occur.
Any chance I can get a shell+panel login to check this out?
Also, does this happen ONLY with 1.6? Do other steam games work? Because the method of instaling/restarting steam games is identical across the board.
Please help me to install gamepanelx on VPS to be able to create servers.
