    dnswalk is not a replacement for doc, although dnswalk is starting
to incorporate some of the things doc checks for.  dnswalk was written to
check individual database entries, while 'doc' ensures that the overall
database structure and authority records are consistent.

Could you include a link to 'doc' ? 'doc' is almost totally useless as a search term (searching for 'dns doc', 'dns doc tool' etc). Thanks!

Unfortunately I can't seem to find the source online anymore. It's referenced in FreeBSD-ports but the original site ftp://ftp.shub-internet.org/pub/shub/brad/dns/ no longer accepts anonymous ftp logins.
