Question - Embed the 5 latest posts

Hi there! I would like to know, how can I get the 5 latest posts? I want to embed these at my landing page, any idea how to create it? If there is an API feature, how can I use it? Since no documentation make it clear.

Config>Reading settings>Your latest blog posts Then Posts in front page show at most 5
