Upgrade from HA 2022.7 to .8 stops the entity controller

The entity controller entities are not created anymore after upgrading to 2022.8 I'm running version 9.5.2

I can't find anything about this in the logs, so I have no idea where to start, nor can I provide you with a starting point to look at.
