This definitely isn't expected behavior. Transferring to AppCenter for now. My guess is this has something to do with "recommends" packages being pulled in by meta packages again on upgrade

A proper fix is probably more involved than removing a check. My guess is that removing this check could result in crashes

@SubhadeepJasu yeah I would be in favor of long-press-to-edit. This solution makes sense to me and like you said is a common interaction behavior on other platforms

Just noting on behalf of @elementary/ux that we have previous discussed and agreed with the behavior of "unhiding" from any display to move the dock to that display

I think expanding the icon browser as an interactive example is good but I think we still need to document how developers can create and ship their own custom symbolic...
