[Question]: What is the License?

Open leobenkel opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

What is your question?

I do not see a LICENSE file in this repo. How is it permitted to use this system?

Seems like in the past it was MIT and I hope it stays this way, otherwise I will have to mark this as unfree in NixOS repositories. https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/335359

ok, hopefully it stays MIT

There is only a license icon added to README.md, but the full license text is nowhere to be found in the repository. Technically it is legally unsafe to use it.

@danielmiessler I packaged fabric for NixOS but the package is not being merged because there is no LICENSE file. Can you please clarify how the project is licensed? Thank you in advance.

MIT is also listed as the license in a badge on the README. We're just missing a LICENSE file in the root of the repository.
