This PR would close #1036
As discussed in https://github.com/cypress-io/cypress-docker-images/issues/1036#issuecomment-2119166844 Yarn v1 Classic is now virtually unsupported and there have been no new PGP signature files published in the last 6 months. The signature files are needed to ensure the integrity of the downloaded package.
Closing this PR as the prerequisite PGP signature is missing. We can re-open if Yarn v1 Classic is able to make the signature file available.

The upstream issue on https://github.com/yarnpkg/yarn/releases has been fixed and 1.22.22 is the new stable Yarn v1 Classic release.
Work can now continue on this PR.

sorry for late response, yes we migrated already to pnpm, so yarn is not a focus anymore for us.
