Error running REPL: "Deferred parameters have not been cached!"

I occasionally get this exception from Cursive when I try to restart a running REPL:

I think it is related to adding a new dependency to my deps.edn.

Let me know what other debugging info I can provide.

I get this every time I restart a REPL, and this has been true for over ten years! I use leiningen, so if it does turn out to be depenency related then it's not specific to one tool or the other. I've never successfully restarted a REPL. I have a setup that I've always used and have assumed that it's some niche thing I'm doing, so I'm very interested to hear if others are seeing it
