Stud.io files are actually password protected zip files with the data that makes up your model file. So your request is certainly possible, but due to legalities surrounding DRM it may not be legal to implement. But I'm looking into it.

Decal support is now mostly supported. There are a couple aspects of the spec that I am still figuring out.
