Improve readme file to set up the project locally

What should be changed?

While setting up the project in my system I m facing issues it seems like the instructions are not well defined and clearly written for a new user who wants to contribute in this project.

I want to work on this and would add the instructions specifically so a new user can easily able to run the project in their system. Assign this task to me, willing to contribute on it.

I think I have worked on this already on a similar issue with this PR @beckermr @kathatherine

@Ginohmk Instructions on building the project locally are a little different than instructions on forking the repo and contributing to the project. I don't think this issues is a duplicate.

@vanshmehra Please work on any issue you would like. This one would be great to have instructions for.

kathatherine avatar Apr 11 '22 22:04 kathatherine

@kathatherine oh, sorry about that, I thought the projects are the same. @vanshmehra please carry on

codewithmike01 avatar Apr 12 '22 07:04 codewithmike01

@Ginohmk I'm not seeing the comment on this issue that I got an email about, but if you would like to push a PR with instructions for building locally, please do!

kathatherine avatar Apr 13 '22 19:04 kathatherine

@kathatherine . Sorry about the comment, I deleted it to avoid multiple PR on same issue, as I figured out someone might be working on it already. But I will be glad to work on this. Issue

codewithmike01 avatar Apr 13 '22 20:04 codewithmike01

@Ginohmk I'm not seeing a PR for it yet, unless one has been created and not linked here, so feel free!

kathatherine avatar Apr 13 '22 20:04 kathatherine

Alright. I will start work on it. Please one quick question. Where should the change be made ?

Because I can explicitly find a please in the doc where the steps to setup build was initially stated.

@kathatherine

codewithmike01 avatar Apr 13 '22 21:04 codewithmike01

@Ginohmk You can put it in the Read Me in src for now and we can always move it if we need to.

kathatherine avatar Apr 13 '22 21:04 kathatherine

Hey @kathatherine I want to work on this but due to no response of your i was not moving forward

preeti-14-7 avatar Apr 14 '22 08:04 preeti-14-7

@Ginohmk have you started working on it or can I start? As I m an outreachy applicant I need to submit at least one PR for getting accepted my proposal

preeti-14-7 avatar Apr 14 '22 08:04 preeti-14-7

@preeti-14-7 I am also an outreachy applicant.

Though I have made just one PR, I just want to keep contributing to this project, but since you need the PR. As it's still same things we plan to achieve, that is making the project better..

You can carry on. I will just stop what I have done and look for another issue to work on.

Also if you need help with the issue. I can give you ideas as well.

Alright @preeti-14-7 PR has been made on this issue. @kathatherine Please review, so I can make the required changes. Thank you

codewithmike01 avatar Apr 15 '22 12:04 codewithmike01

Hi, @preeti-14-7, I'm sorry for not replying. I missed that you were asking to be assigned to it. You can work on anything doc related without being assigned.

Thanks, @Ginohmk, I will look at your PR.
