Speed Changes to 0.5 when Rewinding or Advancing

When using left/right arrows or shortcuts to rewind or advance a video, the speed automatically changes to 0.5. Is there a way to keep the same speed when we rewind or advance? For example, speed was originally 2.0. Keep 2.0 speed after rewinding or advancing.

Issue reported on 4/26/2020 on Firefox 75.0 running Video Speed Controller version 0.5.9.1 (updated 4/26/2020).

This add-on works great on most websites. However, all videos on Mediasite are affected. A sample video can be found by Googling "mediasite sample video." Thanks.

I notice the speed being reset on Rewind/Advance also in the Chrome version of this extension, on which the Firefox version is based. https://github.com/igrigorik/videospeed

You can try opening an issue there as it has more visibility and more developers contributing. If a fix is made there, it will be available in Firefox shortly.
