Cant update presale date on website after launch

I am unable to update presale or public date after launch. I did public launch with no mints made and cannot adjust launch to a later date.

I am currently still on Rinkeby for testing. I already set (test) launch date and I can currently mint.

Now I am trying to change launch date to a later date by adjusting the config file.

I then run npm run update_public_mint_start_date and the correct date shows up and I click y to confirm

I get no errors and I repeat the same for presale_mint_start_date with no errors however on front end I can still mint even after the update.

I remind you I am still on rinkeby for testing/learning.

Kindly let me know if it is an impossibility with rinkeby or maybe I'm badly interpreting something.
