What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open Clementine 2. Enable Lyrics 3. Play song 4. Lyrics aren't displayed What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Lyrics. Sometimes last.fm tags, but no lyrics. (Sometimes even appears the site of the lyrics, but nothing else) What version of the product are you using? Can you give some examples of songs that don't have lyrics?

I'm listening right now to The Best of Times by Dream Theater. In the previous song, The Shattered Fortress, it displayed the lyrics. But now the "Song Info" menu is just empty. Sometimes restarting works when this is the case, but there are times when it appears that Clementine did, indeed, show the site, but with no lyrics at all.

I'll try to screenshot it when it happens, but I'm usually at work so I'm not always using Clementine.

This is most likely NOT an issue with clementine ! It's rather a problem with the particular lyrics server, for that particular songs (I've seen it, also, with other songs ...).

Check other lyrics servers (especially if they are displayed in the song info "window"). And also .... double-check the title of the song (make sure it is the correct title ! )

I've checked that particular song (The Best of Times, from Dream Theater), and I HAVE lyrics on my clementine ! ... okay, not from lyricsmania.com, but lyrics.wikia.com, and tekstowo.pl DOES show the lyrics, and they do it in full (some sites only shows first few verses, and a stupid copyright interdiction notice....) See attached file as a proof... Maybe you have a wrong tagged file when tried yourself ? (somehow misspelled title...)

Exactly the same goes for previous user's example (the song "Soil" from System of a Down). I DO have lyrics for this song, but NOT from lyricsmania.com Here's the proof, attached

No incorrect tags or incorrect titles, I'm an avid last.fm user :P

I'll try to disable all the servers but lyricswiki!

Also, auto-saving lyrics would be very handy when there's no connection :)

I had this problem too, exactly as described by the OP. Raising the network timeout (Preferences >> User Interface >> Song Information) from the default 5000ms to 10000ms solved it.

Are there any news about this issue? I still have this issue in V 1.2.3 Many many lyics are missing that e.g. Amarok loads without any problem. I tried different lyrics server at the top of the list with no avail.

bzw. Are ALL servers in the lyrics list are searched or only the topmost one? Is there really no way to store lyrics in the local Clementine database?

Same, it doesn't even show any of the lyrics servers in the side bar, just last fm.
