But can they be read?
I can't find any support email, forum or in the website either. So I thought let's use the issue tracker to ask about this.
The website qrenco.de shows one that is deformed. The question being: can the deform ones be read with QR readers?
It depends on your browser. In my browser, for example, they are not deformed and can be perfectly read. Can you test, does it work for you in some of your browsers? (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
The service is actually intended for the terminal, and there it works in 100% cases.
I meant, if I scan the generated code, and I meant the deformed one you show on asciinerama, with any regular qrscan on a phone. Will it work as normal? Sure it works. Just try
I've tried, repeatedly. So far nothing. On 8 Mar 2019 22:04, Igor Chubin [email protected] wrote:Sure it works. Just try

Scanning, scanning, scannning....nothing. Note that from here I can scan with no trouble non-deformed QR codes.

It's sad because I really like the deformed effect, but if it's only eye candy that can't be scanned, I don't see much use of it.
Just as I say. It depends on your browser. Please try some other browser, and check if it is not deformed there.
This is how it looks like in my browser. Please try to scan it; it should work.

We could do it browser independent (using PNGs or embedded fonts); it is a good idea
i use putty connect a ubuntu server, it show above, its hard to read by wechat
@hackjackyer It depends on the font. Could you try some other font, that will not have the spacing between the characters?
@chubin Thanks
