This is now done, via the combination of Ember's own `templateOnlyComponent()` API and the design of Ember's Signature types. 🎉

Whoops! We've been talking about a bunch of things and just forgot to circle back to this. I'll do an async check on Monday and it should get merged then!

Folks have been busy, but I have merging this at the top of the agenda for this week's Framework team meeting; it should get merged then!

Going to close this as (1) it's long out of date and (2) we now recommend that people switch to using `ember-cli-babel` for apps (as documented [here](https://github.com/babel/ember-cli-babel#enabling-typescript-transpilation)) and the rollup...

Resolved by Ember shipping native TS blueprints. 🎉

Resolved by publishing types from Ember itself. (It's also possible this got fixed incidentally on DT at some point!)

I believe this is now resolved since Ember ships its own types. :)

We took this issue to heart and made sure it was true in DT, and it comes “for free” in Ember’s stable types. Thanks for the discussion (4 years ago...

I believe this has been resolved as of a few years ago, or at a minimum documented. Closing accordingly!

Also as of the stable types. `getOwner` does the right thing *and* provides DI lookup capabilities. 🎉
