videojs-hls-quality-selector not working on iphone

Hi, Am trying to using the videojs-hls-quality-selector with video js player.. it is working perfectly on android phone but not working on iphone.. the quality selector option is not even showing please help.. am using latest videojs library

There is no an API in iphone to extract the quality level information or to manually enable/disable levels, so quality levels will be unavailable in iphone, that's why the quality selector is not working.

Does this mean that it just auto selects what it thinks is best? Or does it default to highest quality? Anybody have an idea what it will do?

Also: is it possible then to hide the Quality Selector on iOS completely?
