FASER: "FASER Analysis" form feedback

• Creation

  • [x] We don't need buttons to be able to create FASER analysis and initial/final - just one FASER analysis button
  • [x] As mentioned above, we are now getting an error that “Something went wrong” when try to create records (#2628 )

• Initial/Later input

  • [x] We don’t think we need this splitting and can just have everything on one page. Also, everything should be changeable later accept the ID. (#2634)

• FASER Analysis number

  • [x] The number FASER-2022-XX should appear in the header (not just in the URL) alongside the short title to make it easier to see (#2632)

• Short title

  • [x] Should simply be the same as what we enter as the name in the creation

• Publication title

  • [x] Can this easily display latex? Same for description. (#2634)

• People involved

  • [ ] Add item -> Add person to be clearer
  • [x] When we send email it should always include faser-pc in cc by default (can be clickable)
  • [x] Would be nice to be able to add a string for description next to each person so we can note what they are doing on the analysis

• Luminosity

  • [x] Unable to add, even at the beginning, as greyed out for some reason

• Ecom

  • [x] Should have the unit in the field title [TeV]
  • [x] Should default to 13.6
  • [x] Currently required to be an integer
  • [x] Needs to allow floats with 1 digit of precision, or select from a list, which for now could just have 13.6

• Analysis contacts

  • [x] Put analysis contacts field above People involved field
  • [ ] Contacts added here should be automatically included in People involved if possible

• Later inputs

  • [x] Would be good to have a box like for datasets to add a set of indico links to general presentations, maybe also with a text description field to annotate each
  • [x] Add a link to public results web page
  • [x] Add a link to HEPDATA
  • [x] Reorder as:
    • CDS internal

• Datasets

  • [x] Here we want add each item with a given type (data or MC) and location

• Access rights

  • [ ] PC members cannot see records that others have created i.e. Aki/Eric cannot see the record Carl created.
  • [ ] Other Faser members can't see records but maybe this is because it is currently a test site?

• Edit rights:

  • [ ] There should be some faser-cap egroup that we can add members too, including PC and maybe spokesperson, that has full edit rights
  • [ ] If possible, the analysis contact should also be able to edit fields except - Stage and stage - Short title - Analysis contacts - Assign Reviewers If one of us creates a record other people with edit permissions should be able to edit it

• View rights:

  • [ ] All FASER people i.e faser-all egroup but not people outside FASER

• Display

  • [ ] When we look at overview e.g. https://cap-test.cern.ch/drafts/FASER-2022-10/ link the display requires a lot of scrolling, which could maybe be improved to show at least the main overview without scrolling

• Search/Filter/Sort

  • [x] Want to be able to filter by
    • [x] Target date
    • [x] Stage
  • [ ] Want to be able to order by
    • [ ] Target date
    • [ ] Stage (we still need to specify order when we decided on the stages)

Refinement reg. 'display' scrolling: [...] better would be to at least show a certain minimum set of info such as short/general title, ID, stage/stage etc and we can then click to get more.
