What is the expected behavior?

While working with the #2385 we identified some issues regarding the process of uploading the repos

We have two places that are not connected to each other to update information, regarding the filepath or the branch.

We should revisit this issue and make sure that the flow about the upload is more robust

What is motivation or use case for adding/changing the behavior?

How should this be implemented in your opinion?
