Incorrect documentation regarding "Error Sanitization"?

I would just like to use this issue to reiterate the problem already described by @gregorwolf in the SCN community.

The documentation and the behavior of the CAP framework do not seem to be entirely consistent in regard to "Error Sanitization".

As a current workaround, if I want to display an error message in the frontend, I always set the http code to 4xx instead of 5xx, even if this is not actually correct.
