Utilizing Uncompiled/Source Versions

Sorry for this question, not sure where else to put it. I'm not an experienced programmer, but I've made some modifications for QOL for myself (SwitchMap Map in the file title and an erase DTC button). I'm running into an issue where I can't run the Python code, but my OpenPort 2.0 won't display in the interfaces. It's running the error on def get_dlls_from_registry(). Is there anyway to get an OpenPort to show running the py scripts or does it require compiling to EXE? If it needs to go to EXE could you point me in the direction of the software you're using for that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It could be a whole bunch of things, but most common issue in this scenario is you have 64 bit python installed, and the openport DLL is 32 bit, so it requirs 32 bit python. Having both 32 and 64 bit pythons installed at the same time is annoying, but we can be by making sure the desired one is assigned to PATH, so it's called when python command is run.

EXE version is compiled in 32 bit for this reason.

That did the trick! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain that.
