Why team still using Twilio Android SDK Old Version 6.2.1

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the library link Click here
  2. Check the Twilio SDK version in dependency
  3. Used android version is "6.2.1"

When I checked the current Twilio Android SDK version in the Twilio document, I found the available version is 7.0.0 Check Twilio Android SDK version click here

I have few questions like below, Help me to get the best answers for them

  1. Why team still using the old version if we have the latest version available in Twilio?
  2. Many people are using the old version 6.2.1 so is there any impact in our functionality?
  3. Is there any plan to upgrade 6.2.1 to 7.0.0 (latest)?
