Reduce the polling rate from the motion sensor

Hi.

Would be possible to patch the motion sensor board to change the polling rate? I would like to make my toilet lights turn off faster. I heard that to save battery the device sleeps for 3 minutes. I would like to reduce it, even if I need to install another battery.
