MFA authentication method is non-usable

Hi,

I've used the sample policy for TOTP documented here.

I can successfully use my local account's credentials, enrol MFA with authenticator app, and pass the login screen.

Everything works as expected.

However, when I look up my user and the authentication method, it is classed as non-usable.

What does non-usable mean? Since the sign in policy still works with the MFA, surely it is useable?

Even though it still work as expected, but the fact that it is classed as non-usable, will this ever be an issue in the future?

This is the case for me aswell. I also wonder why the authentication method is listed as "Software OATH token (Preview)". I cant find any documentation saying this feature is still in preview.

The "Detail" field that should display the reason for why it is non-usable, is also empty.

The same for me. We are already in production with that "non-usable" and "preview" method. MS please answer
