mfa - setup phone number initially

When using the built in provider to allow the user to setup MFA using phone - the user is prompted for Country + Number, then when they click Send Code, the number changes to a display claim (can't edit) and the number is fixed.

It seems you can't then edit for any mistakes entering the phone number and have to cancel the complete flow.

Any ideas how to fix this and allow editing the mobile once you've put it in?
