information bar improvement suggestion

One of the reasons the Vendd theme is better than other EDD themes is the fact it dosen't have any pointless hero or sliders on the home page and is product focused, however at the minute the information bar occupies about 40% of the screen height on mobile devices forcing the user to scroll down before you see any products.

I feel the information bar should be a fold down/out on mobile devices. Here is what I currently see (for reference):

Could be cool to load it with the page "starting" at the header, but then you can scroll back up to see the other information. Similar to Facebook, Vimeo, and some other sites.

@davidsherlock Yea this gets out of hand really fast for anyone using the info bar menu. I've never been a fan of multiple collapsed menus at the top of a page on mobile so I really like @spencerfinnell's idea.

I'll play around with some different ideas to see how I can improve this.

Any luck with this one @SDavisMedia? I've decided to implement a footer section in the theme and kept the information bar for announcements and social media icons only.

I do however have a few suggestions for you:

1. Move (integrate) the top links to the main navigation menu on mobile view, and keep the information bar strictly for announcements and social media profiles.

2. Move everything down to a footer section on mobile view.

Just a few suggestions :)

@davidsherlock I haven't started working on this. Won't for a while. If you need it to behave differently sooner than later, go ahead and build it.

I'll always update issues when I make changes. If I don't update an issue, I haven't made any changes. I don't work on Vendd daily.
