I'm wondering why after all this time, this hasn't been prioritized? Given the nature of the CDK and how easy it is for developers to make unintended changes to code...

Ok, I just created a stack and the OpenSearch Endpoint was populated correctly in the task definition. So seems like it's fixed now.

Follow up: Looked through the code and it looks like you’re calling either snow or rain in 1 hour “rain 1 hour”. Maybe we could make those separate?
