It still works. I still use it, but if you insist on being a on newer version of bootstrap and some maintenance, I'd use strapdown-zeta, or even maybe showdownjs. Otherwise there's also a newer fork (with a commit from 8 months ago): https://github.com/Naereen/StrapDown.js/

There are also forks and pull requests with bootstrap v3 and possibly v4...

Bootstrap v5.0.0 was recently released, but I forked the project and supported up to v5: I dared to keep the original. https://strapdown.js.balloon.net.eu.org/
