Use Github readme tag things and tags to tag unmaintained stuff

There is lots of dead wood in the repository. For example most of the pairs in incubator that are *-eng are unmaintained because they were generated automatically for a workshop and never editted since. They are unlikely to ever be editted.

For the pairs I would suggest:

  • If a pair is unmaintained and there have been no changes in 5 years and the pair is not released then it should be deleted. Most likely it can be regenerated more quickly with new information and it saves contributor time keeping them up to date.
  • If people can't stomach deletion, then it should be tagged some way as archived, inactive or dormant.

The monolingual data is less of a problem, but should still be tagged with unmaintained if there is no active maintainer.

Github can formally archive repos. I've done that to a few, such as https://github.com/apertium/apertium-fr-it because it's been superceded by https://github.com/apertium/apertium-fra-ita

Then we should do that. Could you do it to ell-eng and any other *-eng pairs that have received no edits since they were made?
